We DO NOT:
- Repair knotted jewelry
- Change watch batteries
- Repair or resize rings.
- Guarantee that we can find, match with precision, or substitute beads or stones.
Repair fees are $25 per hour plus the cost of materials and shipping. The total repair service fee charged per customer will depend upon bead size, bead material, number of strands, length of the jewelry item, and finding material for the jewelry item being repaired. - Most typical repairs are performed within an hour of time.
- The Desert Bee’s replacement findings are in accordance with the customer’s request as to type of metal, type of finding; bail, or clasp, etc. Should our repair service customer desire a specific type of finding The Desert Bee can accommodate the customer’s request at cost.

Payment Details
- Payment for the repair service of the customer’s jewelry item (including the return shipping fee) is to be included with the shipment of the customer’s jewelry item. OR on the date the customer’s jewelry item arrives at our facility for repair.
- The Desert Bee prefers PayPal as a payment method, however we will accept personal checks via U.S. mail. Should the customer choose to pay by check the repair of the customer’s jewelry piece will not occur until the customer’s check has been processed by the bank (funds have been deposited in The Desert Bee checking account).
Customer's Responsibility
- The customer is responsible for payment of all shipping to and from our facility on ALL items submitted for repair, as well as actual repair service charges.
Shipping Guidelines & Fees
- The customer’s repaired jewelry items will be returned to the customer via U.S. Priority Mail, and insured for the customer’s recorded value of the item.
- The Desert Bee recommends that the customer insure their jewelry repair item(s) for its “appropriate” value at the time it is shipped to The Desert Bee. Please note that your item is not insured by The Desert Bee until it is received by our facility. Upon receipt of the customer’s jewelry repair item a “Confirmation of Receipt” e-mail will be sent to our repair service customer. See our Shipping Rates.
Repair Guarantee
The Desert Bee guarantees all repairs for one (1) year from the date of shipment TO our facility. We will repair broken findings (clasps) or restring any jewelry item, however, we do not repair or replace unique stones or beads. We cannot guarantee loss occurring with normal wear, or guarantee against human error if your jewelry item breaks again. We only guarantee repairs completed by The Desert Bee.
